Our horses - Bred with passion

New arrival Shakira's heir
We recently managed to bid on a foal at the legendary Trakehner foal auction in Münster.
Sire: PrH SH Havertz
Dam: PrSt Shanaya
Damsire: EA Grimani
Top-level sport and brilliant blood circulation were instilled in the dynamic Shakira heir, who displays exemplary motor skills, from birth.
In her pedigree, Kristine Moeller's S-level dressage hero Blanc Pain is exquisitely combined with the Nuremberg Burgpokal finalist Meggle's Grimani TSF (Mathias Bouten) and Dr. Reiner Klimke's charismatic Grand Prix star Biotop.
The impressive dam was the best of the four-year-olds and older at the ZSE Rheinland and, as one of the last daughters of the legendary dam and four-time stallion dam Shakira (Singolo, Shapiro, San Silviano and Sir Oliver), is herself among the high celebrities in the circle of great personalities of the Trakehner family saga.

Elgara
Sire: PrH, EH TSF Gaspard
Dam: Eluna
Damsire: PrH, EA December
Welcome to Gut Eich, little Elgara! On June 24, 2026, the charming Elgara was born in the early evening. The birth was wonderfully calm and quiet. Barely out of the womb, the young foal already demonstrated her strong will to live: Elgara bravely tried to stand on her long legs. With a helping hand, she quickly succeeded and was soon happily drinking her first sip of milk. This promising young filly is sired by the internationally successful elite and premium stallion TSF Gaspard. On her dam's side, through her grandmother Elissa, she descends from our young mare Eluna (by the premium stallion Dezember), whom we value as a valuable future prospect in our breeding program. With this pedigree, Elgara is deeply rooted in the famous Trakehner main stud line of the Ethies (family O76A), from which, among others, the legendary foundation stallion Enrico Caruso also originated. From this carefully planned pairing, Elgara combines the best of her top-class Trakehner premium lines.
We expect her to have flowing, elastic gaits for the dressage arena, combined with a refined, level-headed character and the typical willingness to perform characteristic of this breed. We are very much looking forward to our future together and are excited to accompany this charming mare as she develops at Gut Eich.

Tamarain
Sire: EA Blanc Pain
Dam: Tamaris
Damsire: Shamane
With pride and deep joy, we look back on the development of our Trakehner filly, Tamarain, born in 2025. She has already proven her exceptional potential: at the foal show, she shone brilliantly at a very young age, was awarded best filly in the district, and deservedly secured the title of Reserve Champion. A noble heritage from the best dam line, Tamarain is a daughter of the successful elite candidate Blanc Pain and thus carries highly relevant, sport-proven performance genetics. On her dam's side, she is deeply rooted in the historically significant East Prussian mare line of O130A Freya (Woltmann - Querenstede). This combination of lines uniquely unites the valuable heritage of traditional Trakehner breeding values with modern sport horse nobility.
Strong type and athletic spirit: Tamarain already impresses with her outstanding conformation, irrepressible charm, and dynamic movement that promises great things in the dressage arena. She has everything it takes to follow in the proud footsteps of her highly successful family. We are wholeheartedly looking forward to our future together with this promising young mare and are delighted to be able to accompany her further development at Gut Eich.

Gumbinnen
Sire: PrH, EH Mescelaro
Dam: StPrSt Giselle
Damsire: EA His Moment +
We are delighted to welcome another top-class addition to Gut Eich: We were able to acquire the elegant filly Gumbinnen for our stud farm through the foal auction. This promising young prospect is sired by the very talented Mescalero and impresses at first glance with her excellent type, refined bearing, and light, elastic movement. On her dam's side, Gumbinnen draws her genes from one of the most successful and proven performance lines in the entire population: She descends directly from the traditional Trakehner main stud line of Gundula (family number O32A), better known as the highly successful Gisalis family. From this line, she combines concentrated performance blood through the highly decorated annual champion mare candidate Giselle, as well as the Grand Prix heroes Imperio, Benz, and Tarim.
Through her legendary dam, Guayana (by Mahagoni), the finest East Prussian blood flows in her veins, while further down her pedigree, icons such as Mahagoni and the legendary Bunte Samber unite absolute milestones in sport horse breeding. We are extremely excited about our future together and are proud to accompany and support the development of this exceptional foal at Gut Eich.

Dam: StPrSt Song of Joy
Damsire: PrH, EH Freudenfest
We are delighted to present another little gem at our stud farm: the Trakehner filly Song of Glory, born on June 26, 2024. She resides at Gut Eich, where she is growing into a noble and graceful young prospect who does her illustrious ancestors proud in every respect. This charming young mare combines proven dam lines with cutting-edge winning genetics. She is sired by the highly successful sport and breeding premium stallion Rheinglanz, out of our State Premium mare Song of Joy (by the Elite and Premium stallion Freudenfest). On her dam's side, she traces back to one of the most valuable and influential performance lines of all: the renowned Trakehner mare family of the Black Swallow (family O35A1a). This legendary line, synonymous with exceptional performance and breed type, has already produced world-famous sires and champion stallions such as Songline, Saint Cyr, and Shavalou.
Song of Glory already impresses with her refined, graceful presence and possesses all the attributes we desire for her sporting and breeding future at Gut Eich. We are delighted to accompany this promising mare on her journey and eagerly anticipate seeing her follow in her family's footsteps.

Katara
Sire: PrH, EH TSF Gaspard
Dam: StPrSt Coco's Touch
Damsire: PrH, EH Touch my Heart
Exclusive addition to Gut Eich: Through the traditional foal auction at the Trakehner National Tournament, we were able to acquire the promising filly Katara for our stud farm in 2024. Katara is by the internationally successful elite and premium stallion TSF Gaspard out of Cocos Touch. On her dam's side, through her dam Kookch, she traces directly back to the famous Trakehner mare family K2 (Kassiopeia family), from which top horses such as Kinsa, Kalahari, and Kassandra originate.
Katara presents herself with great poise and elegance. Her exceptional movement provides the ideal foundation for a successful career in dressage. With her first-class, proven pedigree, she will subsequently enrich our own performance breeding program at Gut Eich as a valuable broodmare. We look forward with great anticipation to our future together and the development of this charming young mare!

Eluna
Sire: PrH, EA December
Dam: Pr.St. Elissa
Damsire: PrH Shavalou (v. Freudenfest)
A fortunate coincidence led us to a true treasure for our breeding program at Gut Eich: the Trakehner mare Eluna, born in 2021. At our first meeting, it was the outstanding character of her mother and Eluna's own captivating nature that immediately and without a doubt deeply convinced us. Eluna is sired by the esteemed premium stallion Dezember and, on her dam's side, is deeply rooted in the traditional East Prussian main stud line of O76A1 Ethies (Gehlhaar - Ditterke). As a young, up-and-coming mare, Eluna is still at the very beginning of her sporting and breeding career and has her entire future ahead of her. We are all the more proud that she has already given us her first, wonderful foal, the charming Elgara. Eluna is mastering her new role with flying colors: she impresses in daily interactions with her first-class, uncomplicated character and has proven herself from day one to be an exceptionally loving, instinctive, and caring mother.
After this well-deserved break from foaling, her gentle athletic development will continue to mature her great potential under saddle. We are overjoyed to have this valuable future prospect at Gut Eich and look forward to everything we will experience together.

Happy Feet
Sire: PrH, EH Schwarzgold
Dam: PrSt Honey Girl
Damsire: PrH, EH Sixtus
The 2026 breeding season holds a very special highlight for Gut Eich, as we are extremely pleased with the prestigious acquisition of the Danish-bred Trakehner broodmare Happy Feet Selsø. Born in 2014, this mare, whom we recently acquired from Schleswig-Holstein, is considered a truly exceptional broodmare in the overall breeding program. She uniquely combines a refined conformation with outstanding genetic potential. Happy Feet Selsø is by the foundation stallion E.H. Schwarzgold out of Honeygirl by the unforgettable elite stallion Sixtus. On her dam's side, she descends from one of the most important and successful dynasties in the entire Trakehner breeding program: the East Prussian main stud line of T14O2 Herbstgold, which was established in 1957 at the Schmoel/Panker stud farm. This family is known worldwide as a guarantee for hardiness, willingness to perform, and absolute breed type. Despite her young age, Happy Feet Selsø already boasts an unparalleled breeding record: Her outstanding offspring include the licensed stallion Habernero and the highly decorated premium mare Hortensia. Our anticipation for the coming year is all the greater, as this strong-willed and beautiful mare arrives with a very special gift.
She is currently in foal to the highly successful E.H. Ivanhoe, so we can expect an exceptional foal from this dream pairing. We warmly welcome Happy Feet Selsø to Gut Eich and look forward with pride to our future together in breeding.

Valentina
Sire: PrH, EH Kentucky
Dam: ES Holme Park Vabanque
Damsire: PrH, EH Consul
The Trakehner mare Valentina, born in 2013, holds a very special place at our stud farm, as she joined us as a foal. This elegant mare was bred at the renowned Pothen family stud farm, known for its high-quality Trakehner breeding program. As avowed fans of the bloodline of her sire, the unforgettable E.H. Kentucky, it was a real stroke of luck for us. Having watched her grow up over the years, we now wholeheartedly hope to successfully integrate this beautiful mare into our active breeding program at Gut Eich. Valentina possesses the best possible breeding potential. She comes from the traditional East Prussian mare family of O6A Velegu (Gestüt Weedern).
Within this old and highly esteemed lineage, she originates from the exclusive British sub-line of the legendary elite mare Holme Park Vabanque (Holme Park Stud). This mare was an absolutely exceptional figure in British Trakehner breeding, becoming, among other achievements, a two-time Supreme Champion at the English Trakehner shows and establishing a highly successful, sporty line of offspring. Valentina combines the elegant type of her sire Kentucky with the performance density of her British ancestors – a top-class legacy that we are now eagerly anticipating and carrying forward into the future at Gut Eich.

Odine
Sire: EH Elfado
Dam: StPr. PrSt. Orchidee XIV
Damsire: PrH, EH Hohenstein
The Trakehner mare Odine has held a very special and emotional place at our Gut Eich stud farm since her arrival two years ago. She is not only a proven performance mare, but also a living piece of breeding history. Odine comes from the famous East Prussian mare family O15A Italia (Scharffetter - Hengstenberg / Kallwischken) and, within this extensive performance dynasty, belongs to the high-caliber subline of the legendary elite mare Odessa XI. A precious heritage under special protection – from a breeding perspective, Odine embodies a true dam line of the century: she belongs to those historical dam lines that are currently classified as highly endangered by the Trakehner Association. The association is actively working to protect these valuable lines through targeted programs in order to prevent an irreversible loss of genetic diversity. At Gut Eich, we are aware of this great responsibility and proud to be able to preserve this precious bloodline for the future. Besides her genetic exclusivity, Odine's direct line is characterized by outstanding athletic versatility. She herself completed a brilliant performance test, achieving great success and victories in dressage competitions up to the L level, while simultaneously demonstrating great talent in show jumping. This dual aptitude makes her an absolute exception.
Great hope for the 2027 breeding season. We have been through a difficult time, as Odine tragically lost her last foal. All the more reason for us to look to the future with heartfelt hope: Our beloved "Diva" is currently in foal to the highly successful E.H. Ivanhoe. We are keeping our fingers crossed that everything goes well and wish for nothing more than for Odine to become the happy and healthy mother of a healthy foal next year.

Tamaris
Sire: Shamane
Dam: Tammeny
Damsire: Schwertträger
A heart of gold retires: After gifting us with another true breeding masterpiece through the outstanding success of her daughter Tamarain, we now bid a heartfelt farewell to our beloved mare Tamaris as she enters her well-deserved retirement. Tamaris descends from the historically significant East Prussian mare line of O130A Freya (Woltmann - Querenstede) and embodies, like few others, the most important criterion in Trakehner breeding: temperament. She is a true guarantee of exceptional character. With her extraordinarily gentle, trusting, and deeply people-oriented nature, she has been our absolute go-to horse for all these years. She has always passed on these wonderful qualities and her golden temperament to her foals with unwavering instinct and reliability.
Beyond all her athletic and genetic merits, Tamaris distinguished herself as a devoted, loving, and absolutely wonderful mother. She gave her offspring the best possible start in life and, after the magnificent success of Tamarain, has now reached the perfect time to end her breeding career. We look forward to many more happy, relaxed years as a cherished grande dame in our pastures. Thank you for everything, Tamaris!

PrS Zenith
Sire: PrH, EH TSF Monteverdi
Dam: Zoe
Damsire: PrH, EH Saint Cloud
It is a very special honor and pleasure for us to host a true living legend at Gut Eich: Zenith, the Trakehner black mare born in 2002. After a highly decorated sporting and breeding career both in Germany and abroad, this exceptional mare has come to us to enjoy her well-deserved retirement – a privilege she is actively savoring to the fullest, healthy and full of joie de vivre. The daughter of Monteverdi (out of a Saint Cloud dam) demonstrated her outstanding sporting talent from a young age. She spent her career in sport and breeding at the renowned Pallerhof Stud in Luxembourg, owned by Jens Thorsen. Under her trainer and rider Kristine Möller, she matured into an international sport star. Through her consistently strong performances, Zenith easily qualified for the prestigious German Riding Horse Championships in Warendorf. The absolute highlight of her sporting career came in 2007: At the World Championships for Young Dressage Horses in Verden, she represented the Trakehner breed with great success in a highly competitive international field. Top-class genetics and breeding success – Zenith's breeding line is the traditional and highly regarded Trakehner performance dam line of S61 Zauberfee (by Schöning-Aulowönen). Zenith has impressively demonstrated the performance and genetic potential of this line during her breeding career for Gestüt Pallerhof: She has already produced three highly successful colts who will carry on her breeding legacy.
We are incredibly proud to offer this strong-willed and internationally successful grande dame the perfect retirement at Gut Eich. Zenith enriches our estate every day with her charisma and regal serenity.

Belle de Jour
Sire: Wörthersee XX
Dam: Belle Epoque Go
Damsire: Hamlet Go
The beautiful Trakehner chestnut mare Belle de Jour came to us in a very special way. After the painful loss of our chestnut mare Odextine, we were looking for solace – and to be honest, it was primarily her stunning chestnut coat that touched our hearts and led her to us at Gut Eich. Today, this wonderful mare is an indispensable part of our daily lives and is now enjoying her well-deserved retirement on our lush pastures, side by side with her best friend Zenith. From a breeding perspective, Belle de Jour is a truly magnificent specimen. She belongs to the renowned and highly esteemed East Prussian mare family of O18B3 Blandina (Zimmermann - Marienwalde). Within Trakehner breeding, this line is world-famous as the highly successful "GO line" of the Zimmermann stud farm (known for exceptional performance horses like Biotop and Banda GO). This genetic line has stood for generations for absolute willingness to perform and a noble breed type.
Sensitive at heart, fearless in nature, Belle de Jour fascinates anew each day with a truly special blend of qualities: She possesses a fine, highly sensitive intuition for her people, yet in everyday life and new situations, she proves herself completely fearless, courageous, and strong-willed. She is a mare with an absolutely honest, golden character. We are incredibly grateful to have this magnificent horse among our honorary retired mares at Gut Eich!

Paula
Sire: Lacapo
Dam: Midore von Thuswin xx
Who says only Trakehner hearts beat at Gut Eich? Since the very beginning, a very special "exotic" has enriched our stud farm: the Holsteiner chestnut mare Püppchen 18. She moved in with my first rider. When she eventually left to start her own family, Püppchen remained a loyal member of the family. Today, she is the undisputed, sovereign leader of our older mares and simply indispensable to farm life. In terms of breeding, Püppchen 18 represents the absolute top performance breeding of the North: she comes from the highly regarded Holsteiner dam line 2067 (known for international sport stars like Conrad de Hus and Landis).
The dam line of this fantastic sport mare combines classic, powerful Holsteiner show jumping blood with the crucial touch of refined blood from her granddam's side. Under saddle, she proved herself for many years as a truly exceptional show jumper – with boundless fighting spirit, scope, and absolute composure over fences. Her toughest competitive career is now behind her, but her enthusiasm and reliability remain undiminished: To this day, she's never too proud for any task and carries even the smallest children safely on her back with endless patience and gentleness. We are incredibly grateful to have had this magnificent horse by our side from the very beginning.

StPrSt Song of Joy
Sire: PrH, EH Freudenfest
Dam: PrSt St Helena
Damsire: Alter Fritz
Some horses leave a legacy that extends far beyond their breeding success. Our Trakehner State Premium and Premium mare Song of Joy (born 2006) was such an exceptional horse – she was a true soulmate for us. We had to say goodbye to her far too soon when she passed away due to decompensated heart failure. She leaves a deep void at Gut Eich, but she lives on, unforgettable, in our hearts and in our breeding program. The daughter of the Elite and Premium stallion Freudenfest, she was an absolute model mare throughout her life. In 2010, she impressively demonstrated her class when she was named Reserve Champion of the 4-year-old mares at the central mare inspection in Schleswig-Holstein. Song of Joy originated from one of the world's most famous and influential dynasties in the entire Trakehner population: the family of O35A1 Schwarze Schwalbe (Webelsgrund/Hämelschenburg), which historically goes back to the legendary line of Saaleck (Prince of Dohna-Schlobitten).
This exceptional genetics, combined with her priceless character, made her a cornerstone of our stud farm. Before she passed, this magnificent mare entrusted us with a very special, living legacy: she gave us the exquisite filly Song of Glory. In her, the untamed breed type, the nobility, and the golden spirit of her unforgettable mother live on at Gut Eich. We are eternally grateful for the time we shared with this wonderful mare. Song of Glory enriched our breeding program and captured our hearts – we will always cherish her memory.
† 13.02.2006 - 08.10.2024
Odextine
Sire: Dexter
Dam: Ochana
Damsire: Kondor
There are horses that change your entire life. Our Trakehner mare Odextine was precisely that one, unforgettable, exceptional horse – she was my absolute soulmate, my loyal partner under saddle, and the proud beginning of our own fourth-generation Trakehner breeding program. Far too soon, we had to let this wonderful girl go due to a serious autoimmune disease. She left a huge void, but her legacy forms the proud foundation for everything that followed. The daughter of Dexter, she came from the valuable and traditional East Prussian mare family of T12B1 Ochotniza, which is historically closely linked to the famous Ganschow Stud.
Through her maternal line, she carried the blood of the legendary Kondor II, renowned as an excellent sire of absolute breed type, legendary toughness, and boundless willingness to perform. He sired, among others, the exceptional mare Ochana, through whom he became the great-grandfather of numerous modern top and premium horses. Kondor II also appears as a solid, athletic foundation in the dam line of high-caliber modern stallions – such as our much-esteemed elite stallion Kentucky. Odextine was the perfect symbiosis of this historic performance bloodline and a character of pure gold. She was courageous, honest, and gave us unconditional trust in everyday life as well as in sport. Even though she is no longer in our pastures, she will forever gallop on in our thoughts – as the mare with whom the story of Gut Eich began.
† 23.12.2004 - 20.08.2014
Mammona
Sire: Sapros
Dam: St.Pr. PrSt. Marchesa II
Damsire: VB Araber Kosmonaut ox (v. Inschallah x)
In addition to the painful loss of Song of Joy, we soon had to say goodbye to another very special personality from our stud farm. Mammona, a modern Trakehner mare born in 2003, left us after a short, serious illness. She had initially come to us as a pasture companion for Song of Joy and remained her loyal, quiet companion throughout the years – a constant source of peace and harmony in our meadows. Sadly, we never got to hold a foal from her; she stopped conceiving, almost as if she had a silent premonition of what was to come. Even though we weren't blessed with any offspring from her time with us, Mammona remains a breeding gem in our memories. She was sired by Sapros and came from the renowned East Prussian mare line of S24A Malve (Schack - Belitz). Within this family steeped in tradition, she belonged to the outstanding and highly successful Rhenish sub-line of Mata Hari (Vogelsanghof).
An absolute highlight in her pedigree was her paternal grandfather: none other than the legendary Russian black stallion Pepel. Under Elena Petroushkova, he matured into a world champion and Olympic gold medalist and is still considered the most successful Trakehner dressage horse of all time. Mammona quietly but immeasurably enriched our herd and our lives at Gut Eich. Together with her beloved Song of Joy, she now gallops in eternal pastures. We will miss this noble mare and will always cherish her memory with pride and love at our stud farm.
† 02.11.2003 - 13.12.2024
Bella-Maria
Sire: EH Giorgio Armani
Dam: Blumenfee
Damsire: Thoroughbred stallion Busoni xx.
With Bella-Maria's passing at a ripe old age after a severe colic, we lost a true pillar of our stud farm. She first came to us as a loyal pasture companion for our unforgettable beloved horse, Odextine. Together with her, she laid the very foundation for everything that defines Gut Eich today. Bella-Maria was far more than a companion; she was the living beginning of our vision to actively carry the priceless legacy of historic Trakehner performance lines into the future. A historic dynasty from the Trakehnen Main Stud – in breeding terms, Bella-Maria was a true rarity. She came directly from the renowned, historic Blandina line (of the Trakehnen Main Stud).
In modern Trakehner nomenclature, this extensive and significant family is usually traced back to the highly successful S14A Blandina line (Schmoel/Panker Stud) via its direct line. For generations, this genetic line has stood for exceptional hardiness, breed type, and a deep connection to humans. Even though Bella-Maria no longer gallops across our pastures, she will forever remain unforgettable. She was the quiet, strong beginning of Gut Eich. We will always honor her memory and the legacy of her wonderful family at our stud farm with deep pride and immense gratitude.
